40K GT INFORMATION
FORMAT
Games will be played at 2,000 points maximum.
6 Rounds. 2 Hours and 45 minutes each. We will be using the current Chapter Approved GT missions (Mission Pack Pariah Nexus).
You must have your rulebook and codex available for any and all rules questions, electronic rules are acceptable, but not from a 3rd party application (i.e. Battlscribe, army builder etc).
Pairings will be based on: # of wins/random until round 5. (subject to change)
ITC Placings will be based on # of wins/opp game win %, then battlepoints. (subject to change)
Golden Tickets: We have three (3) Golden Tickets this year for the Clutch City GT. One will be given to Best Overall. The other two (2) will be awarded to the players who make it to Top Table in Round 6.
- If there are any instances of poor sportsmanship or unbecoming conduct (as determined by the judges), the player in question forfiets their golden ticket.
- If one of the players on the Top Table were to also win Best Overall, the second ticket would then go to the winner of the next highest table (also pending there are no instances of unsportsmanliike conduct).
SPORTSMANSHIP
The current ITC Code of Conduct (link HERE) will be in effect for this event, in addition to the following guidelines to determine if you should contact a judge during/after a game:
Did the opponent play sloppily (sloppy measuring, sloppy movement)?
Did the opponent appear to deliberately slow play to avoid finishing the game?
Was your opponent prepared (on time, had a copy of his list for you, etc.)?
Was your opponent open with die rolls (i.e. did he clearly announce what rolls were for, did he allow you to see all dice results before picking them up, etc.)?
Did the opponent remain consistent in his rules interpretations (i.e. did he interpret a rule one way when it worked in his favor, and another way when it did not work in his favor)?
Did the opponent treat you with respect? He doesn't have to be your best buddy, but can't be a total asshat either.
This list is not exhaustive, but please contact a judge if you feel you are experiencing or experienced a bad game. Players who give or receive a bad game notice may be talked to by a judge/TO. We will hear both sides of the story and will have final say whether or not punitive action is justified. Punitive action can be up to and including disqualification from the event and future events.
If a player earns more than one yellow card, each time he receives one past the first, the Head Judge will decide on whether to remove the player from the event.
- Only the Head Judge can make a call to remove a player from the tournament.
- Players may earn a yellow card for numerous reasons, some examples:
Disrespectful behavior to opponent, other players, judge, or staff
Failure to respond honestly to a judge's question.
Cheating. There is a ZERO tolerance policy to cheating. Anyone caught cheating will be given 0 points for the event, asked to immediately leave the event, and banned for a year. In addition, their name, email and conduct will be shared with the Texas Championship Circuit, which may result in additional bans from other TCC events.
TIMEKEEPING
Chess clocks MAY be used at every table. The following Modified WTC Chess Clock rules apply; Click the link for the chess clock rules: At the start of Round 4, all undefeated players MUST use chess clocks. We will have some available to borrow, but it is your responsibility to have access to a timekeeper. There are plenty of sources, we recommend the ITC Battles App chess clock. The app will allow you to electronically keep track of your scores, and it will also keep track of your clock. If you do not use a chess clock as an undefeated player, you will be given a yellow card. Link to how ITC chess clocks work HERE
LIST FORMAT AND TERRAIN
Per the Chapter Approved Grand Tournament Missions, your list must be submitted in the tournament packet's format. What does that mean? That means you must have every enhancement and your warlord selected on your list. If you do not do this, you will receive a yellow card for it. (-20 points to the first round game).

TOURNAMENT POLICIES
W.Y.S.I.W.Y.G - We want to strongly encourage the players to model their miniatures in a way that is fair to their opponent and is in the spirit of the game. We also encourage conversion work, that said if you have a conversion that might be questionable please email us at ClutchCityTO@gmail.com with photos of the model. The last day to get approval for models that are converted is 2/15/2025. After this date, they are subject to being pulled without warning if you do not have prior approval. Proxies (models with no conversions) are not allowed.
Rules/Book Cutoff - The cutoff date is Saturday, February the 15th. Any new rules after this date are not eligible for the tournament. Only clarifications (not brand new) of previously released FAQs will be allowed past this date. FAQs past this date may or may not be applied to the event rules. Note: The new Astra Militarum and Aeldari codex are allowed.
3 Color Minimum - The Clutch City GT maintains the policy that any model that is not painted to at least a 3 color minimum and based can, and will, be pulled from every game in which the model does not have the 3 color minimum rule. We realize this might seem harsh, but We feel like it is not in the spirit of the game to be played with models that do not have some level of effort put into painting the models. That said we will NOT pull models that we believe to be aesthetically displeasing as everyone paints at different levels, all we ask is that you respect our wishes and feelings, and the feelings of your opponents who put a lot of care into the painting aspect of our hobby.
Harassment - Harassment is treated on a case by case basis. That said anyone found harassing an individual for any reason based on sex, sexual orientation, race, religion, or for any other reason we deem demeaning to the individual being harassed we will ask the person harassing to leave immediately without exception. We hope we will never have to enforce this policy.
Stream Games - During Day 2, if you are undefeated and are asked to play on stream, you must play on stream. Failure to comply will result in an automatic loss.
Dice Policy - Any hard to read dice (more than 2 symbols on the sides, squig dice, clear, roman numeral, etc.) are not allowed. Dice that have 2 symbols (i.e. GW custodes dice) must have the skull assigned as the "One" value and the faction symbol assigned as the "six" value.
Cheating - If it is found that you are intentionally cheating in any way at the Clutch City GT you may/will be immediately disqualified and asked to leave the Venue.
Judge Rulings - Judge rulings are final, we reserve the right to accelerate any disciplinary actions that might need to be taken against players.
PAINT RUBRIC: Please follow the link to the Appearance Rubric. (subject to change)
