Clutch City 4K: Magic The Gathering

Format: Modern, Ranked Swiss Best of 3 with top cut to be played on the following day on Sunday. There will be 7 rounds Saturday, followed by a top cut (top 8) for 3 additional rounds on Sunday.

Decklists will be required, you will not be able to check in for the event until your decklist is submitted. Decklists are to be submitted via email (subject to change).

There will be a secondary event that coincides with the start of Round 5 of the main event, Anyone who wishes to drop before round 5 of the main event is eligible to enter this secondary event FREE of charge

Main Event Prizing: (Will vary based on attendence. The below prize payout is based on 120 players max and will be $4,000)

  2. 2nd: $700
  3. 3rd-4th: $500
  4. 5th-6th: $300
  5. 7th-8th: $200

Secondary Event Prizing: (Will vary based on attendence)

  1. 1st: $200
  2. 2nd: $100

Day 1 - Saturday (March 4, 2023 [Schedule and # of rounds subject to change based on attendence. Rounds will cap out at 7 [Which is what the below schedule is based on. Round 1 will start no earlier than the posted time below.])

  • Registration: 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
  • Pre-Tournament Meeting: 9:00 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.
  • Round 1: 9:15 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
  • Round 2: 10:00-11:15 a.m.
  • Round 3: 11:25 a.m. - 12:40 p.m.
  • Planned Lunch : 12:40 p.m. - 1:40 p.m.
  • Round 4: 1:40 p.m. - 2:55 p.m.
  • Round 5: 3:05 p.m. -4:20 p.m. (Round 1 of Second Event)
  • Round 6: 4:35 p.m. - 5:50 p.m. (Round 2 of Second Event)
  • Round 7: 6:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. (Round 3 of Second Event)

Day 2 - Sunday (March 5, 2023) Top Cut for Main event

  • Round 1: 9:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. (Round 4 of Second Event)
  • Round 2: 11:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. (Round 5 of Second Event)
  • Lunch: 12:15 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. 
  • Round 3: 1:15 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. (Round 6 of Second Event)
  • Awards/Announcements: 3:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
